The mounts listed in the FP article are either not big enough for my huge phone(Samsung Mega 2) or are more than I want to spend. But I also don’t want some huge contraption sitting on the dash/attached to the windshield of my NA.

Dunno if this mount was mentioned, but I’d recommend the OSO mount. Should fit even the largest phones.

Try checking out magnetic mounts. I haven’t used them myself, but they seem like a pretty nifty idea.

Kenu Airframe + is what I use. The + is bigger.

As a Galaxy Note 2 owner, you don’t have a phone - you have a tablet that can make phone calls.

Honestly the CD mount one seems ingenius if you don’t use CDs, but find one that suits your needs.

I have a RAM x grip. It’s a normal phone mount of theirs but can swallow my Xperia Z3, which is big. If the Mega 2 is still bigger, RAM have this x grip in all sorts of sizes, and all can be mated with your choice of arm and suction cup. So go to their site and specify yourself your mount.
You’re welcome.
